Application for a second (2nd) semester will be made during June 2023. Offers to be made will be based on the following prerequisite: whether you qualify for the academic admission requirements for your chosen qualification, your minimum points score, and the number of places that are available for the applied qualification.
- Selected undergraduate qualifications i.e. higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, PGCE Application, BTech & degrees): 6 – 13 May 2023
- Selected honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 6 – 13 May 2023
- Master’s & doctoral degrees: (some exceptions apply)
How to Apply for Admission at Unisa 2023-2024

Supporting Documents
All those who want to apply for admission to Unisa 2023 for a new qualification should send the needed documents i.e. first-time applicants and Unisa students who are commencing a new qualification. The due date for you to upload the necessary documents is the same closing date for your applications. Please, Unisa will not accept any document submitted after the closing date for the applications in 2023-2024.
Required documents to be uploaded during your application process:
- The copy of your school qualifications (Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- A copy of your official tertiary academic records if recommend. Be reminded that there will be no internet copies.
- The copies of your ID documents, i.e. RSA Students ID, Passport (international students)
- A copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree if recommended.
- A sworn translation of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
Make sure all your documents are scanned and uploaded to an electronic device before you can start the application process.
Complete Your Application
You have to make sure that your application is completed. If your application for admission to Unisa 2023-2024 is not complete, you will have to reapply during the next application period of time.
