Unisa Online Application Fee 2027-2028
Unisa Registration Fee 2027:
Paying the correct Unisa online application fee for the 2027-2028 academic year is the first critical step to ensure your admission request is processed. The University of South Africa (Unisa) requires all prospective students to submit applications exclusively online, and no application will be considered without proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee. For the upcoming cycle, the application fee remains R160.00, based on Unisa’s current fee structure and annual adjustments published in the official prospectus.
Once you complete the online application form, Unisa issues you a student number. You must use this student number together with the application fee reference number as your payment reference, for example, STUDENTNUMBER 5370810030. International applicants are required to send proof of payment to susdepid@unisa.ac.za after using Unisa’s approved payment channels. Unisa does not accept cash at any of its offices. Payments can be made via EFT, credit card on the Unisa website, or cash deposit into the university’s First National Bank or Absa account. International students are strongly advised to use the Flywire payment platform to avoid delays.
Submitting a second application will automatically replace your first one, so verify that you meet all minimum admission and departmental requirements before paying the fee. All applications must be submitted online because Unisa does not provide self-help stations at regional offices for applications. Admission is not automatic. It depends on meeting admission criteria, departmental approval, and available space. Qualifications are also removed from the application list once all spaces for the academic year are filled, so applying early is strongly recommended.
