Unisa Registration Dates For Teaching 2027-2028
Your Guide to Unisa Teaching Registration for 2027-2028:
For fresh applicants planning to study a teaching qualification at the University of South Africa in the 2027-2028 academic year, understanding Unisa’s registration process is the first step to securing your place. While the official 2027-2028 registration dates for teaching programmes have not yet been released, Unisa follows a consistent annual schedule that can help you prepare early.
You can only register for a teaching qualification at Unisa if you are a returning student or if you are a new applicant who has received an official offer of placement and accepted it online. Unisa reserves the right to cancel any registration if it’s found that a student was incorrectly admitted, so never register without a confirmed offer.
To register online at registration.unisa.ac.za, you will need your 8-digit student number and access to your myLife email account. Unisa provides every registered student with a free myLife email for life, and this becomes the only email address the university uses for official communication. If you have not claimed your UNISA login yet, do it as soon as your registration is finalised.
Unisa’s teaching qualifications fall under undergraduate qualifications. Semester 2 registration for all undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas in 2027 ran from 29 June to 23 July. Year modules open in January. Teaching students should expect similar periods for 2027, with Semester 1 likely opening in January and Semester 2 around June/July.
Before you register, review Unisa’s method of payment page and read the security note about online payments. Incorrect payment references cause the most delays. Once registered, you’ll be notified via email, SMS, or letter when your study material is dispatched, complete with a tracking number.
