UNISA Economic And Management Sciences Courses 2025

A Guide to UNISA’s 2025 Economic and Management Sciences Programs:

As Africa’s largest provider of business education and one of the largest globally, Unisa’s College of Economic and Management Sciences (CEMS) plays a significant role in supplying skilled professionals to both the private and public sectors. Each year, around 70,000 students enrol in the college’s formal qualifications, with an additional 30,000 participating in short learning programmes.

CEMS accounts for one in four Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degrees awarded by South African universities. At the postgraduate level, nearly half of all honours degrees and 30% of master’s and doctoral degrees have been earned by CEMS students over the past five years.

To ensure the continued relevance and quality of its courses, the college conducts comprehensive research within both the private and public sectors. This commitment guarantees lifelong learning opportunities, allowing students to progress from certificates to advanced postgraduate studies, including doctoral degrees.

These programmes offer a thorough grasp of the fundamental concepts and principles of economics, finance, management, and other related subjects. UNISA offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Economics and Management Sciences. At the undergraduate level, students have the option to pursue degrees such as Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin), or Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA), among others.

These programs provide comprehensive coverage of core concepts and principles in economics, finance, management and related fields, ensuring students gain a solid understanding of these subjects.
