Unisa application closing date differs based on the period of application and the course/program you are applying to study. The various application dates for 2027 are provided below:

Unisa Undergraduate Qualifications Application Open Date 2027-2028:

• Apply for an undergraduate qualification between 17 August and 9 October 2026.

Application Date for UNISA Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas 2027:

• Apply for an honours degree or postgraduate diploma between 17 August and 9 October 2026.

Application Date for UNISA Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications 2027:

• Apply for a master’s or doctoral qualification between 1 September and 20 November 2026.
• Selection degrees and some other qualifications have different application periods. Some exceptions apply.

Application Date for UNISA Short Learning Programmes 2026:

• Applications for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes open on 2 November 2026. 
• Information for the 2027 academic year will be published shortly.

NB: After these dates, only qualifications with enough spaces will remain open until the end of January 2027.

• Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
