Unisa uses a two-semester format for the majority of its programmes, offering a diverse selection of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.The Second Semester application window allows new students to start at the institution in the midst of the academic year and allows returning students to apply for extra courses or finish their studies.

The second semester portal is open to all prospective students who want to study at the university, yet could not apply for the qualification of their choice during the first semester application period.

Prospective students must take not of the following dates of the various qualification;

  • Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees) Application: 11 August to 14 October.
  •  Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 11 August – 14 October
  • Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 8 September – 14 November 2024

Who is Required To Apply At UNISA 2024?

A new qualification must be submitted for everyone to apply. This includes first-time Unisa applicants and Unisa students changing to a new qualification and/or specialisation. You must apply for admission if you choose to proceed with further undergraduate studies if you are completing a higher degree or alternative pathway / extended programme. If you previously applied for admission and were offered a room, but did not accept the offer and/or did not register for any reason, you must re-apply for admission.

Anyone intending to enroll in a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college for classes under the Unisa-TVET agreement must apply for admission.

To apply for Second Semester Application 2024 you must follow all the processes of the ODL on Official website in other to apply.
