Unisa Online Application 2027/2028
Unisa Online Application Deadlines and Requirements for 2027/2028:
The Unisa Second Semester Application 2027/2028 is a great second chance for students who missed the first semester intake or want to continue their academic journey without waiting another year. The University of South Africa (Unisa) offers flexible open distance learning, and its second semester applications give new and returning students another opportunity to apply for various qualifications. While the main 2027 academic year applications are already outlined, the second semester window is specifically for undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas with semester modules.
For the 2027-2028 academic year, applications for Undergraduate qualifications and Honours degrees & Postgraduate diplomas will run from 17 August to 9 October 2026. Master’s and Doctoral qualifications will open from 1 September 2026, and Short Learning Programmes from 2 November 2026. Information for the full 2027 academic year will be published shortly, so applicants are advised to keep checking the official Unisa website.
It is important to note that you can only register after receiving and accepting an offer of placement from Unisa online. Unisa reserves the right to cancel your registration if you were incorrectly admitted. Once registered, every student receives a free myLife email address, which becomes the only official email for all Unisa correspondence, so activating it immediately is significant.
If you are a re-registering student or want to add modules, you can do so via myUnisa. Semester 2 registration for all undergraduate qualifications, honours and postgraduate diplomas is expected to open around 29 June to 23 July 2026. This article covers Unisa Second Semester Application dates, how to apply, requirements, and registration details for 2027/2028.
