Unisa Registration Deadline For 2025-2026:

Do you want to further your education by studying for a degree or certificate at the University of South Africa (Unisa)? If so, you must know the important facts regarding the Unisa registration closure date for 2025-2026.

The University of South Africa, Unisa is inviting all applicants who applied for admission to the 2025-2026 academic year to register online. Unisa has announced that all registrations for the 2025-2026 academic year must be done online at www.unisa.ac.za/register. The registration closing dates have also been published on the same registration website.

Applicants, including new applicants and Unisa students seeking admission to a new qualification, may only register if they have received and accepted an offer of placement from Unisa, which reserves the right to cancel or not process registration if the admission was incorrect, re-registering students must also register for the 2025 academic year within the designated registration period.

Unisa Registration Closing Date For  Semester 1& 2 2025-2026

the following are the online registration closing dates for Unisa 2025:

Semester 1:

  • The registration dates for Unisa’s master’s and doctoral degrees are 9 January to 31 March.
  • Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2024 academic year is open from 10 January to 30 April (some exceptions apply).
  • Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from 10 January to 15 March

Semester 2:

  • Semester 2 registration for undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas is open from 3 – 28 July (semester modules only).
  • Semester 2 registrations for the MBA and MBL qualifications will open on 28 June and close on 19 July 2024.
  • Semester 2 registrations for Short Learning Programmes are open from 22 May to 14 July.

How To Register Online At UNISA 2025-2026

The online registration process at Unisa is quick, straightforward, and accurate. When you register online, you will be alerted if any information is missing or wrong, allowing you to ensure that you include all of the required information when submitting your online registration form. To register online at UNISA for the below steps;

  • Visit the Unisa web registration page at: https://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/default/Register-to-study-through-Unisa/Web-registration.
  • Choose the qualification level and then click “Go”.
  • Enter your student number in the block provided and the other details as required. (If you don’t have a student number you won’t be able to continue. You’ll need to apply online for admission.)
  • Check your details on the screen. Change any contact details that are missing or incorrect. It is very important to provide your correct address and cellphone numbers. Incorrect information may delay the delivery of your study material and prevent you from receiving important information from the university.

Click on the modules from the drop-down list you want to register for.

Ensure that you meet all the qualification requirements for your selected modules. You must

  • meet all the pre-requisites and co-requisites for the selected module
  • enter the correct module code
  • and select the correct semester (1 = first semester; 2 = second semester)
  • Do not exceed the prescribed number of modules per semester or year, as this may result in a delay in your registration being processed. Unisa retains the right to remove modules based on the number of credits allowed per semester and following the fees paid. Please take note of the maximum period you have to complete your qualification.

Calculate your fees

  • Use the free quotation link on the Unisa website (http://www.unisa.ac.za/feequote) to obtain a quote for the cost of your modules.
  • Note the minimum fee that must be paid before Unisa will process your registration. If these fees are more than you can afford, remove modules until you can afford the fees.
  • You can make payment online, using the web credit card payment method.
  • Retain your proof of payment in case of enquiries.
  • Submit your registration.
