Activate myLife e-mail account
All registered students receive a free myLife e-mail address from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Once your registration has been completed, it is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only one recognized by UNISA for official correspondence to and from the university, and it will be your university’s official primary e-mail address throughout your study at UNISA.
With the exception of study guides, all correspondence sent to you after the initial study pack will be sent to your myLife e-mail address (eg follow-up tutorial letters, examination timetables and results, financial statements, and general communication). Other channels of communication may be used on occasion, but the university will primarily communicate with you through your myLife e-mail account. When sending an e-mail to Unisa, always include your student number in the subject line.
