Unisa Registration Web
Ready to become an official Unisa student for the 2027-2028 academic year? The Unisa Registration Web is where your academic journey truly begins after you have been admitted. Many students confuse applying with registering, but they are two different steps. You can only register on the web if you have a student number and you are either a returning student or a first-time student who has successfully applied for admission and received an offer. Without an approved application, the system will not allow you to proceed.
To register on the web, you will need a few essentials. First, your Unisa student number. Second, a valid email address – and the good news is that Unisa provides all registered students with a free myLife email for life. If you have not yet claimed your account, you should take time to claim your UNISA Login before you start. This myLife account will be your official channel for all communication from the university.
The Unisa Registration Web caters for all qualifications. Whether you are registering for Undergraduate qualifications, Honours and Postgraduate diplomas, or Master’s and Doctoral degrees, everything is done online via myUnisa. During registration, you will select your modules, confirm your qualification, and proceed to payment.
Speaking of payment, be sure to read the method of payment page carefully. Unisa has secure online payment options, but you should always note the security of online payment to Unisa and keep proof of payment. It’s also smart to get an estimate of your study fees before you continue with your application so you can budget properly.
Once registered, you will be notified via letter, email or SMS once your study material has been posted, including a track and trace number and despatch date. And if you need a laptop for your studies, Unisa may assist – you can indicate your interest during registration. This guide covers the full Unisa Registration Web process, requirements, and fees.
- Student Number: You should be a returning student or a first-time student at Unisa who has successfully applied for admission. All students with a student number can not register. Also, students who don’t remember their student number should retrieve it from here.
- Email Address: Once you are registered, a free Email for life is provided by Unisa. If you have not yet claimed your account, take the time to claim your UNISA Login.
