Every academic year, UNISA has two registration periods, allowing you to choose the courses you want to study each semester. Choose your modules wisely based on your degree requirements and personal interests. The registration closing dates for the 2025-2026 academic year semester 1 & 2 are as follows:

Unisa Registration Closing Date 2025-2026 For Semester 1:

• MCompt, MBA and MBL students must register by 3 February.
• Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2025 academic year is open from 10 January to 30 April (some exceptions apply)
• Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from 10 January to 15 March

Unisa Registration Closing Date 2025-2026 For Semester 2:

Registration for undergraduate qualifications, honors degrees, and postgraduate diplomas opens on 3 July and closes on 28 July (semester modules only).

• Semester 2 registration for MBA and MBL qualifications is open from 3 – 28 July (semester modules only).
• Semester 2 registrations for Short Learning Programmes open on 22 May and close on 14 July.

Unisa Registration Extention Date 2025

• Unisa has extended the closing date for semester 2 registrations to Monday 29 July. The final date for initial minimum payments for semester 2 modules has been extended to Wednesday 31 July

How To Register At UNISA 2025-2026

All registration at UNISA must be done on the official website of the institution. To register online with Unisa, then follow the steps below to register:

• Go to the website for Unisa registration: http:/registration.Unisa.ac.za
• Select the qualification level and then click “Go” to proceed.
• Enter your student number as needed in the block given and the other information. You will not be eligible to proceed if you do not have a student number.
• Check your on-screen personal details. Correct any missing or incorrect contact information. Providing your correct address and cellphone numbers is very important. Incorrect information may delay the delivery of your study materials and prevent the university from providing you with important information.
• From the drop-down list, you want to register with, click the modules. You have to

2. Enter the correct code for the module
3. Choose the semester that is appropriate (1=first semester; 2=second semester)
4. Indicate your study material in which language you want to obtain (English or Afrikaans)

• Do not exceed the approved number of modules per semester or year, as they will not process your registration.
