Unisa Florida: Enrollment, Programs, and Innovations for 2025-2026:
Florida is a town in the province of Gauteng, South Africa. The Gauteng Province, located in the center of the country provides a menu of student support services to a collective student population of just over 100,000 students through its various regional service centre located in almost every corner of the province of Gauteng.

Among all the campuses of Unisa, the Florida campus stands out. The Florida campus of Unisa hosts their science college with a library, labs, and a cafeteria.
Before applying to the Florida Campus of Unisa, applicants are to check if they meet the statutory and campus-specific admission requirements and the required academic points score (APS) for their chosen qualification(s). For the academic year 2025-2026, the Florida campus of Unisa wil be accepting applications by the below dates:
Unisa Florida Application Date For Undergraduate Qualifications 2025:
- Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
Unisa Florida Application Date For Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas 2025:
- Applications for admission to honors degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
Unisa Florida Application Date For Masters & Doctoral Qualifications Diplomas 2025:
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
Unisa Florida Application Date For Short Learning Programmes Diplomas 2025:
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.
Unisa Florida Services Offered 2025-2026
The following are some of the services the campus offers;
- Counseling: With face-to-face counseling, phone counseling, and e-counseling in this unit.
- Library: The purpose of Library Services is to provide information resources to students that would assist them in their studies or research.
- Tutorial Services: Tutorial services have the purpose of offering face-to-face tutorial services for conventional modules as well as Science Foundation Provision(SFP).
Unisa Florida Application Admission Requirements 2025-2026
All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

- Applicants enrolling for a qualification at the Florida campus of Unisa must pay an application fee of R140. (Pay the application fee once you have received a student number from Unisa)

Unisa Florida Application Process For 2025-2026

Check The Admission Requirements:

Register for a myUnisa Account:
- Create an online account on the Unisa portal, called myUnisa.
- This account will be used for your application, registration, and communication with the university.
Submit Your Application:
- Complete and submit the online application form via your myUnisa account.
- Upload all required supporting documents (e.g., ID/passport, academic transcripts, certificates, etc.).
Pay the Application Fee
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of R140.00.
- Ensure payment is made within the specified deadline to avoid delays in your application processing.
Wait for the Outcome:
- Track the progress of your application through your myUnisa account. If accepted, you will receive further instructions on how to register and enroll in your selected courses.

Unisa Florida Campus Location
Unisa Science campuses are situated at the corner of Christian de Wet Road and Pioneer Avenue, Florida, 1709 Gauteng Province. The Campus of Science consists of the following colleges:
- College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) (Calabash Building)
- College of Science, Engineering, and Technology (CSET)
Unisa Florida Campus library is located in the GJ Gerwel Building. The cafeteria is also located in the Dionysus Building.
