Unisa Application Opening Date for 2025 Second Semester: unisa courses
Registration for Second Semester application is opened for undergraduate higher certificates, diplomas and degrees & postgraduate diplomas, and honours degrees with semester modules. The University of South Africa has made a decision to open applications only for chosen undergraduate qualifications for the second semester of 2025.
For a lot of prospective students, attending UNISA is a dream come true, and early application submission is very important to getting accepted into the programmes of their choice. People who were not able to apply for first semester can now do so, as the second semester application for admissions has begun.

Unisa Application Opening Date for 2025 Second Semester
Below are the application date for the unisa 2025-2026 academic year;
- UNISA Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees) Application date is 11 August to 14 October.
- Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 11 August – 14 October
- Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 8 September – 14 November 2025

How To Apply At Unisa 2025
To apply for admission at Unisa for the 2025-2026 academic year, follow the steps below:
- Apply for a student number (only applicable if you do not already have a formal Unisa student number).
- Apply for admission.
- Upload the compulsory supporting documents.
NB: Documents are displayed in red on the upload platform. Students who gain qualifications outside the borders of South Africa must have their qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and upload a SAQA certificate of evaluation during the application process (https://www.saqa.org.za). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
