The Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institution (TNC) is a Tvet college that is registered and accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Umalusi and numerous Sector Education and Training Authorities (Seta’s) have also granted the College accreditation to provide education and training, primarily in the FET band (NQF Level 2 to 4). With a student population of between 20 000 and 21 000, the College employs approximately 327 lecturers and support workers.

The college tries to improve its students’ quality of life. In October 2014, the College established the Locksmith programme at Mamelodi Campus in collaboration with the Locksmith Association of South Africa, Masterkey, and SASSETA. There were 40 students registered, the majority of whom came from low-income households and orphanages in and around Mamelodi. The Mamelodi Campus workshop had been refurbished. Ford has provided a Ford Ranger, which is used at the Automotive Workshop at Rosslyn Campus.

The crucial thing to remember is that if one wishes to pursue a vocational path, such as Engineering Studies, Business Studies, or Utility Studies, one does not need to complete Grade 12 because institutions provide three-year vocational qualifications. To enrol in this qualification, you simply need to have completed Grade 9, however, it is better suited to students who have completed Grade 11 or even Grade 12.

As a student who does not want to make the error of attending just any college, we will recommend Tshwane North TVET College because it is one of the greatest colleges.
