My NSFAS Status at Unisa 2023-2024
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government student financial aid programme that assists students who want to continue their tertiary education but do not have the financial means to do so. If you were able to apply for NSFAS for the 2023-2024 academic year, you need to check your application outcome to know whether you have been provisionally funded or not. To do that, you need to follow the instructions below to know how to check your status.
How to Track NSFAS Application Status 2023
Sometimes, it becomes very disappointed for applicants who have not had the opportunity to check the status of any application they have come across in their lives. That is why we have systematically outlined the procedure for checking your status for NSFAS Applications. Below are the necessary steps you need to know:
- Firstly, go to your browser on your computer or smartphone and type NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
- You then have to click on the myNSFAS tab
- Then, click on the myNSFAS Account tab
- Log in with your myNSFAS account details
- Enter the ID number you created during the application process in the box provided
- Then your password
- Click on Track Funding Progress
If you applied using a paper application, you need to create a myNSFAS account now to be able to check your application status.
How to Create myNSFAS Account
Follow the steps to create your myNSFAS Account;
- Go to the NSFAS website, www.nsfas.org.za
- Click on the “myNSFAS account” tab
- Then, enter your username and Password
- Click on the “My Personal details” tab you see on the screen
- Click on “Update your cellphone number and e-mail address to your current one
- Then you “Update your details” and proceed
- Take note, a Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to the new number and the e-mail you provided
- Enter the OTP in the box and click on submit
- Your details will then be updated immediately
