MBA With Unisa Admission Requirements And Documents

Registrants to MBA courses at Unisa are to upload and meet the following requirements and documents:

• A Bachelor’s Honours Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma, with a minimum of 120 credits, OR a 480-credit Bachelor’s Degree. Please supply a copy of your transcript, indicating the symbol or percentage obtained for each module and indicating whether or not the qualification was completed.
• A recent detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating three years or more managerial/professional work experience.
• Supply a clear copy of your Identity Document or Passport. A copy of a driver’s license will NOT be accepted.
• Once the application is successful, applicants may be required to write an admissions test as part of the selection process.

The Graduate School of Business Leadership may institute additional selection criteria as deemed necessary.

Who Can Register For UNISA MBA 2026-2027?

• Applicants may register only after receiving confirmation from Unisa that their admission application has been accepted. Please check your myLife e-mails for confirmation if you are a returning student. Unisa will send confirmation to the e-mail address supplied during the application process.
• Students who are re-registering (who made adequate progress during the current academic year) or who have formally delayed their studies must register online during the allowed registration period for 2025. Students who have not made adequate progress may be denied the opportunity to re-register.

UNISA MBA Application / Registration Fee 2026-2027

• Application fee: R215 (non-refundable AND in addition to tuition fees) – Not applicable if you have a student number.
• Tuition fees are split into an acceptance deposit and a subsequent payment plan
• A foreign levy of R3 335 will be charged for students not residing in South Africa

 MBA year 1: R157 160(7 Compulsory modules + 2 electives)

• Payable on registration:  R 78,580 plus applicable levies
• Payable on 15 March: R35,524
• Payable on 15 May : R14 352 + second registration (electives) R14352:R28704
• Payable on 15 August: R14 352

MBA year 2: R57 412 (Integrated Management Report)

• 50% on registration:    R28 702
• 25% payable 15 May:    R14 352
• 25% payable 15 August:    R14 352

NB: The acceptance/registration fee is due at the time of registration. Registration will be handled only if the registration cost has been paid in full or a valid purchase order has been supplied. The bursar/sponsorship letter does not suffice as payment evidence for registration. Invoices will be created only if a bursary/sponsorship letter is received.
