UNISA online application has been open for the 2025-2026 academic year. Prospective students may begin to apply NOW to secure the chance to study at the prestigious university for the 2025-2026 academic year. The online application portal is open to all interested high school graduates of South Africa and Foreigners who meet the admission requirements of the institution.

If applications for admission to study through UNISA are not complete, you will have to re-apply for admission during the next prescribed application period. The application fee is payable on the last day of the application session. Any application that is not accompanied by a timely payment of the application fee will be rejected. Please keep a copy of your payment evidence on file.

UNISA Online Application Date 2025-2026

Below are the dates to apply for degree courses at Unisa:

• Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
• Applications for admission to honors degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
• Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
• Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

UNISA Online Application Required Documents 2025-2026

Before applying to study at UNISA, you must have the following supporting documents:

• Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
• Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
• Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
• Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
• Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

• Visit the official website of UNISA at: https://www.unisa.ac.za/
• Navigate to the registration portal on the homepage and click on ” Apply for Admission
• Click On “Apply Now”
• Complete the application form with the required information
• Upload certified copies of supporting documents
• Pay your non-refundable application fee of R125.00
• Crosscheck your application to ensure that your application is complete
• Submit your application before the closing date.

UNISA Application fee for 2025-2026

• Paying an online application fee of R140.00 is required for online applications. Please remember that the application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through UNISA or do not qualify for admission to UNISA.

This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa, do not qualify for admission to Unisa or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. Unisa does not provide cashier services and the payment should be made via a bank.
