Application Fee Details and Payment Information:

Qualified prospective students who would like to enrol for a programme at the University of South Africa (Unisa) can now start the application process as the admission window is currently open. Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year at Unisa are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.

Everyone applying for a new qualification must submit the required documents (all first-time applicants and Unisa students starting a new qualification). The due date for uploading the required documents is the closing date for applications. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted.

For the academic year 2025-2026, applicants applying for admission at Unisa are to pay an application fee of R140.00. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed.

This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa, do not qualify for admission to Unisa or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. Unisa does not provide cashier services and the payment should be made via a bank.

  • Applicants to Unisa for the 2025-2026 academic year are to pay the online application fee of R140,00.

When Must One Pay Unisa Application Fee For 2025-2026

  • The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application which is 11 October 2024.
  • Pay the application fee once you have received a student number from Unisa.
  • Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee allocation number as your reference number

Unisa Application Fee Payment Methods 2025-2026

UNISA does not accept cash or cheques at its offices, but you can deposit cash into the university’s bank account at First National Bank (FNB) or ABSA Bank branches. UNISA does not provide cashier services, so all payments must be made through a bank. Below are the payment methods of Unisa for 2025:
