The University of  South Africa is now receiving online applications for the 2025-2026 academic year. If you’re interested in pursuing undergraduate qualifications such as as Higher Certificates, Advanced Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, or Degrees, seize the opportunity and submit your applications today.

www.unisa.ac.za Application Date 2025-2026: unisa status check

The online application for 2025-2026 academic year can be accessed from August 11th to October 14th. Applications will be accepted for a range of undergraduate qualifications, as well as for honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas during this period.

Again, the application portal opens on 8 September – 14 November 2025 for Master’s & doctoral qualifications applications.

NB: All applications must be completed and submitted before the closing date. Due to limited spaces, late applications may not be considered.

How To Apply Online At UNISA 2025

The University of South Africa (UNISA) has currently opened its online application portal and is accepting returning and new students across all qualifications for the 2025-2026 academic year. Via UNISA’s official website, prospective students are encouraged to apply before the designated closing dates for online applications in 2025. Kindly follow the steps outlined below to apply for UNISA online:

• Visit the official website of UNISA via www.unisa.ac.za
• Navigate to the registration portal and click on ” Apply for Admission
• Click On “Apply Now“
• Complete the application form with the required information
• Upload certified copies of supporting documents
• Pay your non-refundable application fee of R125.00
• Cross Check your application to ensure that your application is complete

Unisa Online Application Required Documents 2025-2026

To be able to apply online via www.unisa.za, you need to have the following required documents:

1. A copy of your official tertiary academic records (if applicable)
2. A copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree (if applicable)
3. A copy of Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
4. A copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
5. A copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport ( for international students)

NB: Please The University of South Africa (UNISA) is not providing scanners or electronic devices. So make sure that all your documents are scanned and uploaded to an electronic device before you begin the online application process.

UNISA Application FEE 2025

Kindly take note that whether you choose not to pursue studies with UNISA again or fail to qualify for admission or secure a space due to limited availability, your application will not be refunded.

The application fee must be paid by the closing date stated by UNISA for the application period. Applications will not be processed when they are submitted without the required fee paid on time. It is important to keep a copy of your proof of payment for reference.
