Unisa NSFAS Application 2027-2028
Step-by-Step Guide: Completing the Unisa NSFAS Application Form 2027:
Do you wish to study or are you already studying at the University of South Africa (Unisa) for the academic year 2027/2028 and come from a family with an income of R350,000 or less, then you qualify for the NSFAS bursary. NSFAS is a government entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training established according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a critical component of South Africa’s higher education environment, ensuring that qualified students get financial assistance for their studies. As the 2027-2028 academic year approaches, the University of South Africa (Unisa) continues to work with NSFAS to give qualified students the financial support they need to achieve their higher education ambitions.
The South African government developed the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to address the issue of financial exclusion in higher education. Its principal goal is to give financial assistance in the form of loans and bursaries to qualifying students who would otherwise be unable to attend tertiary education. Tuition, housing, study materials, and other expenses are covered by NSFAS assistance.
