Unisa NSFAS Application Form 2026-2027: Key Dates, Requirements, and Tips
The National Student Financial Association Scheme offers financial assistance to Unisa students, especially needy students. UNISA NSAFS Application Date 2026-2027
The UNISA NSFAS applications for 2026-2027 are currently open and will end on January 31, 2026. Interested new and current students must apply now to be considered for NSFAS support for the 2026-2027 academic year.
UNISA NSFAS Application Required Documents 2026-2027
Applicants should also be prepared to submit supporting documentation, which may include identity documents, proof of income, academic records, and any other applicable documentation. For your application to be processed, attach all supporting documents. Please attach certified copies of the following documents:
- A certified proof of bank account. This can be a bank statement or a letter from the bank where you have your account.
- Certified copy of your Identity Document/Birth Certificate. If you are younger than 16 years of age and do not have a green bar-coded ID, then you must submit a certified copy of your birth certificate.
- A certified copy of the Identity Document of each household member, including parents or legal guardians.
- Proof of residence
- Certified copy of your latest academic transcript or exam results. If you are currently in Grade 12 you are excluded from this requirement.
NB: All the certified copies of income must not be older than three months and your documents can be certified at the South African Police Service or the South African Post Office.

- Create an account called myNSFAS
