Who Must Register At UNISA

Applicants can register once they have received a confirmation from Unisa that their admission application has been accepted.
Re-registering students who have sufficient progress during the current academic year as well as students who officially deferred their studies should register online within the applicable registration period for 2021. Also, re-registering students who have not made sufficient progress might be excluded from registering.

Registration for the academic year 2025 at Unisa has not yet opened. However,

Unisa has extended the closing date for semester 2 registrations to Monday 29 July 2024.
The final date for initial minimum payments for semester 2 modules has been extended to Wednesday 31 July 2024.

Unisa Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications Registration Date 2025:

Registration for the academic year 2025 at Unisa has not yet opened. However:

Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2025 academic year is open from 10 January to 30 April (some exceptions apply).
Semester 2 registrations for the MBA and MBL qualifications will open on 28 June and close on 19 July.

Unisa Short Learning Programmes Registration Date 2025:

Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from 10 January to 15 March.

Upon registering, enter your student number in the block provided and follow the links.
Check your contact information on the screen and rectify any incorrect information.
Enter the module(s) for which you want to register. Ensure that you follow all the prerequisites and co-requisites for the module(s) you chose. Also, make sure you have entered the module code(s) correctly.
If you choose structured/coursework master’s degree modules, please review the Unisa provisional examination timetable to make sure there are no clashes between the examination dates.
If you deliver your registration without payment, your registration will not be processed until the minimum registration fee has been paid to the university within the approved registration period.
