Registration for Unisa’s undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas for the 2026 academic year has not yet officially opened, as of now. Important extensions on registration deadlines for these qualifications have been announced. The deadline for registering for semester modules for these qualifications has been extended to 28 February 2027. Likewise, the final date for making the initial minimum payments to secure registration for these semester modules has also been extended to 28 February 2027. In the case of year modules, registration will remain open until 31 March 2027.

Contrasting with the undergraduate and honors programs, registration for selected master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2027 academic year is currently open and will remain so until 30 June 2026.

Who Must Register At UNISA

Applicants can register once they have received confirmation from Unisa that their admission application has been accepted.
Re-registering students who have sufficient progress during the current academic year as well as students who officially deferred their studies, should register online within the applicable registration period for 2021. Also, re-registering students who have not made sufficient progress might result in their exclusion from registering.

Check your contact information on the screen and rectify any incorrect information.
Enter the module(s) for which you want to register. Ensure that you follow all the prerequisites and co-requisites for the module(s) you chose. Also, make sure you have entered the module code(s) correctly.
If you choose structured/coursework master’s degree modules, please review the Unisa provisional examination timetable to make sure there are no clashes between the examination dates.
If you deliver your registration without payment, your registration will not be processed until the minimum registration fee has been paid to the university within the approved registration period.
