Unisa invites all High school graduates who want to pursue higher certificates to apply for the 2026-2027 academic year. The application is ongoing. Now, apply and secure a spot at a reputable institution. The University is open for both undergraduate courses, honours and postgraduate courses, master’s qualifications, and doctoral qualifications. Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2026. Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2026.

Who Is Qualified For The Unisa Application For 2026

You qualify to apply to Unisa if:

Fresh applicants
Continuous students changing to a new qualification or specialisation
applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space, accepted the offer and did not register
students completing a higher certificate or any other program and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies

Unisa 2026 Application Date For Undergraduate Qualifications:

Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2026.

Unisa 2026 Application Date For Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas:

Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2026.

Unisa 2026 Application Date For Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications:

Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2026 (some exceptions apply).

Unisa 2026 Application Date For Short Learning Programmes:

Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July.

Unisa Application Requirements For 2026

Applicants are to upload the following documents when applying for admission to Unisa:

Copy of your school qualifications
Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable)
Certified copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/ passport (international students)
Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

On the registration portal click on ” Apply for Admission.”

Complete the application form with the required information
Upload certified copies of supporting documents
Make payment of your non-refundable application fee of R140.00
