Are you considering pursuing higher education at unisa for 2024 academic year?, Congratulations to you, Application dates for the various undergraduate qualifications, honour degrees and postgraduate diplomas as well as master’s and doctoral degrees have been publicized. Everyone wanting to start a new qualification should apply for admission and must check whether they qualify to apply before applying.
Unisa has multiple application periods throughout the year to cater to different academic semesters. The application dates are influenced by factors including, Qualification and program/courses of application and period of application.

Unisa Application Dates For 2024
- Application date for Undergraduates Qualification (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees):
Application for admission to any undergraduate Qualification for the 2024 academic year will be open or accessible on 11 August. The closing or deadline for the 2024 academic year application for admission to undergraduate qualification will be on 14 October.
- Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas Application Date:
Application for admission to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2024 academic year will be open on 11 September. Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas Application for admission will be closed on 14 October. Only CTA programmes have an earlier closing date. Also, there will be additional dates for application if only there are still spaces available for the 2024 academic year.
- Master’s and Doctoral Degrees
Application for admission to Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree for 2024 academic year will be available or open on 8 September. Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree applications for 2024 will be closed on 14 November.
NB:Thereafter, only those Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree qualifications with spaces available will remain open till the end of January 2024. No application will be accepted if it was submitted after the closing date.
