2026-2027 Unisa application fee:
UNISA is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the 2027-2028 academic year. This includes admissions for Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and degrees), Master’s and Doctoral degrees, as well as Honours degrees and Postgraduate diplomas. Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2027 academic year are reopened for limited honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas between 3 and 17 June 2026.
Prospective students should ensure they meet the admission requirements before applying. Applications must be completed online through the official UNISA website. Date To Apply To Unisa 2027-2028
Below are the online application dates for the various qualifications offered at Unisa for 2027:
Unisa 2027 Application Date For Undergraduate Qualifications:
- Applications reopen for undergraduate qualifications for limited qualifications only. Apply between 3 and 17 June 2026.
Unisa 2027 Application Date For Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas:
- Applications re-open for limited honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas only. Apply between 3 and 17 June 2026.
Unisa 2027 Application Date For Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications:
- Applications re-open for master’s & doctoral qualifications until 19 December (some exceptions apply).
Unisa 2027 Application Date For Short Learning Programmes:
- Registrations for the second semester for Short Learning Programmes are open from 18 May to 10 July 2026.
UNISA Application Fee 2027-2028
- A non-refundable application fee of R150.00 is required of all applicants for the various qualifications. The application fee is required once you have received a student number from Unisa.
The application fee is due on the last day of the application period. Any application that is not accompanied by a timely payment of the application fee will be rejected. Please keep a copy of your payment evidence on file.
Documents Required To Apply to UNISA 2027-2028
Prospective students starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents. Below are the documents required for the application:
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans.
