When To Apply For Unisa Qualifications For 2025

Below are the application dates for the UNISA 2025-2026 academic year:

Unisa Admission Date For Undergraduate Qualifications 2025:

  • Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.

Unisa Admission Date For Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas 2025:

  • Applications for admission to honors degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.

Unisa Admission Date For Masters & Doctoral Qualifications 2025:

  • Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).

Unisa Admission Date For Short Learning Programmes 2025:

  • Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

Select Qualifications:

  • Choose the qualifications you wish to apply for. This allows UNISA to assess your application and provide feedback.

Apply for Multiple Qualifications:

  • You can apply for up to two qualifications. Consider applying for a lower-level qualification in addition to your main choice.

For example:

  • If applying for a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), also apply for a higher certificate in the College of Economic and Management Sciences to meet admission requirements.

Understand Eligibility:

  • As you progress with your application, you’ll gain clarity on which qualifications you qualify for.

Check Related Qualifications:

  • If you have completed a higher certificate and wish to apply for a diploma or degree, review the list of related qualifications.

Note on Admission:

  • Completing a lower-level qualification does not guarantee admission to a higher-level qualification, as spaces may be limited.
