- Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
Unisa Johannesburg Application Date For Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas 2025:
- Applications for admission to honors degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
Unisa Johannesburg Application Date For Masters & Doctoral Qualifications Diplomas 2025:
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
Unisa Johannesburg Application Date For Short Learning Programmes Diplomas 2025:
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.
Unisa Johannesburg Application Admission Requirements 2025-2026
All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

- Applicants enrolling for a qualification at the Johannesburg campus of Unisa must pay an application fee of R140. (Pay the application fee once you have received a student number from Unisa)
