  • Upon receiving your student number, quickly settle your application fees, detailed below. For online applications, Unisa applicants are to pay a fee of R140.00. When making payment, ensure to include your student ID, the UNISA ID given to you, and the application fee reference number.

Unisa does not take cash or in-kind payments; all payments should be paid to the following account. To make payments and get other banking information, go to www.unisa.ac.za/payment info.

Unisa Application Fees Payment Method For 2025/2026

To make things easier for you, Unisa offers various payment methods. Below are the payment options, channels, and refund information. For electronic transfers, make sure to fill out the reference field correctly.  Please note that cash or cheques are not accepted at any UNISA office. However, you can deposit cash into the university’s bank account at any First National Bank (FNB) or ABSA Bank branch.

UNISA does not provide cashier services, so all payments must be made through a bank. Incomplete or incorrect payment details will not be processed, and UNISA will not be responsible for any delays in allocating or transferring funds to your study fee account. Below are the payment methods to pay for the Unisa Application Fee:

  • Unisa web credit card payments
  • Bank deposit
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • Payments by employers/bulk payments, sponsors, bursaries, donors, and international students
  • Flywire payment option for international students

UNISA Application Fees Refunds 2025

  • Requests have to be made in writing and must be signed by the registered student.

  • Refunds will be processed within 15 working (business) days from receipt of the request.
  • Credit balances exceeding the total study fees paid by sponsors or bursaries will be refunded to the sponsor or bursary concerned.

Please note:

  • No refunds for credit balances less than R100.00 will be allowed.
  • Applications and miscellaneous fees are non-refundable.
  • Refund requests must be accompanied by the required documentation.
  • The university reserves the right not to render services to students with outstanding balances.
  • Receipts and statements of accounts will be issued to registered students only. It remains the student’s responsibility to submit the document to the relevant sponsor.
