Unisa Application Dates for 2025

Thinking of higher education at UNISA, for the 2025 academic year? Well done! Application dates for undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, postgraduate diplomas, master’s and doctoral degrees have been announced. Anyone seeking to begin a new qualification should apply for admission and ensure eligibility before submitting their application.

Unisa renders multiple application periods throughout the year to accommodate various academic semesters. The application dates are determined by factors such as the qualification and program/course being applied for, as well as the specific application period.

Unisa Application Dates For 2025

Application date for Undergraduates Qualification (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees):

Application for admission to any undergraduate Qualification for the 2025 academic year will be open or accessible on 11 August. The deadline for the 2025 academic year application for admission to undergraduate qualification will be on 14 October.

Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas Application Date:

Application for admission to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2025 academic year will be open on 11 September. Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas Application for admission will be closed on 14 October. Only CTA programmes have an earlier closing date. Also, there will be additional dates for application if only there are still spaces available for the 2025 academic year.

Master’s and Doctoral Degrees

Application for admission to Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree for 2025 academic year will be available or open on 8 September. Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree applications for 2025 will be closed on 14 November.

NB:Thereafter, only those Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree qualifications with spaces available will remain open till the end of January 2025. No application will be accepted if it was submitted after the closing date.
