What Does NSFAS Cover For Unisa Students

Amounts indicated for accommodation, living allowance, transport, and learning materials need to be aligned with the latest approved DHET guidelines.

Firstly, go to your browser on your computer or smartphone and type the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
You then have to click on the myNSFAS tab
Then, click on the MyNSFAS Account tab
Log in with your myNSFAS account details
Enter the ID number you created during the application process in the box provided
Then your password
Click on Track Funding Progress

If you applied using a paper application, you need to create a myNSFAS account now to be able to check your application status online.

How to Create myNSFAS Account

Follow the steps to create your myNSFAS Account.

Go to the NSFAS website, www.nsfas.org.za
Click on the “myNSFAS account” tab
Then, enter your username and Password
Click on the “My details” tab that you see on the screen
Click on “Update your cellphone number and e-mail address to your current one
Then you “Update your details” and proceed
Take note, a Time PIN (OTP) will be sent to the new number and the email you provided
Enter the OTP in the box and click on submit
Your details will then be updated immediately
