The University of South Africa (UNISA) registrations for the 2025-2026 academic year are ongoing and are fully online. When To Register At UNISA Online For 2025-2026
Registrants to Unisa 2025 are to begin their registration process by the below dates:
- Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2024 academic year is open from 10 January to 30 April 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from 10 January to 15 March.
Unisa 2nd Semester Registration 2025:
- Semester 2 registrations for the MBA and MBL qualifications will open on 28 June and close on 19 July.
- Unisa has extended the closing date for semester 2 registrations to Monday 29 July The final date for initial minimum payments for semester 2 modules has been extended to Wednesday 31 July.
- Honours & postgraduate diploma semester 2 modules registered in semester 2 begin on 28 June to 29 July
- Undergraduate semester 2 modules registered in semester 2 begin on 28 June to 29 July.
How To Register At UNISA Online 2025-2026
The steps provided below wil guide you in registering for a module at Unisa for 2025:
- Visit the Unisa web registration page.
- Choose the qualification level and then click “Go”.
- Enter your student number in the block provided and the other details as required. (If you don’t have a student number you won’t be able to continue. You’ll need to apply online for admission.)
Check your details on the screen:
- Change any contact details that are missing or incorrect. It is very important to provide your correct address and cellphone numbers.
- Incorrect information may delay the delivery of your study material and prevent you from receiving important information from the university.
Click on the modules from the drop-down list for which you want to register:
- Ensure that you meet all the qualification requirements for your selected modules.
- You must Meet all the pre-requisites and co-requisites for the selected module and select the correct period (1 = first semester; 2 = second semester; 0 = year module)
- The language of tuition for each module is indicated in the module information.
Do not exceed the prescribed number of modules per semester or year:
- This may result in a delay in your registration being processed.
- Unisa retains the right to remove modules based on the number of credits allowed per semester and by the fees paid.

- Note the minimum fee that must be paid before Unisa will process your registration. If these fees are more than you can afford, remove modules until you can afford the fees.
- You can make payment online, using the web credit card payment method.
- If you don’t have a credit card, you can use one of the Unisa payment methods listed on this page. Retain your proof of payment in case of enquiries.

How To Activate myLife e-mail Account At Unisa
- The university provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration has been finalised.
- Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
Official communication from the university is sent via e-mail to a student’s myLife e-mail account. The rules for the use of the myLife e-mail account are as follows:
- The university provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is the student’s responsibility to activate their myLife e-mail account as soon as their registration is finalised.
- The myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
- All official communication from the university will be sent to the myLife account. Other additional communication channels may be used from time to time, but the university will communicate with students primarily via their myLife e-mail addresses.
- The management of this e-mail account remains the responsibility of the student.
