Unisa Documents Upload To Postgraduate Courses:

To finalize the application for admission to the University of South Africa (UNISA), potential students need to submit the required application materials. These documents are very important in determining eligibility and ensuring that only eligible individuals are accepted.

All applicants, especially first-time applicants seeking application to the various qualifications (i.e Undergraduate, Honours and Postgraduate, Master’s and Doctoral degrees as well as short learning programs) for the 2026-2027 academic year, are to upload all the required supporting documents during application.

Date for Unisa Uploading Documents

  • The deadline for applications corresponds to the due date for uploading the appropriate documents. Find out the deadline/closing date for the qualification you are applying for to know the due date for the application.

NOTE: No documents submitted after the deadline will be accepted.

Who Must Upload Document At Unisa

 Everyone applying for a new qualification. This includes

  • First-time applicants
  • Unisa students starting a new qualification

Required Documents Necessary To Upload At Unisa

Certified copies of the following documents must be uploaded during application:

  • Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
  • Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  • Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

NOTE: Some qualifications may require additional documents. Unisa reserves the right to request original documents and / to verify the correctness of submitted documents at any time

Rules for Uploading Documents at Unisa

Follow the instructions carefully when uploading documents:

  • Upload supporting documents as individual files and not as one file( a complete set of documents as a file)
  • All files must not be larger than 2MB (2048KB)
  • It is allowed to send only black-and-white documents
  • The following file types are permitted; PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file), DOC (Word document file) or TIF (image file)
Unisa does not provide scanners and electronic devices. Before beginning the application process, please scan and upload your documents to an electronic device.
