The use of myUnisa platform is a big part of your online learning at Unisa for the academic year 2025. As a student, you are expected to be able to access your study material on the myModules platform from within myUnisa while you wait for your study material to be delivered, participate in discussion forums, submit assignments online, check the announcements for each module, and attend e-tutoring for some of your modules

In open-distance e-learning, you are responsible for planning your studies and managing your time effectively. You don’t attend daily lectures. You learn from a distance and you connect to the university mostly via the internet. If you completed your previous qualifications at a residential institution, you must think about the adjustments you need to make to be a successful Unisa student.

This does not mean, however, that you are on your own. Unisa offers its students a range of support programs – from tutorial support and counseling to online resources. In open distance e-learning, the distance means that most of your interactions with Unisa are carried out at a distance, primarily in digital format.
