CSET ( College of Science  Engineering and Technology ) offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs spanning multiple disciplines.  These include mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and various other subjects.

UNISA College of Science Engineering and Technology is made up of the following schools and departments

School of Science:

The UNISA College of Science Engineering and Technology School of Sciences is made up of the following departments:

• Department of Chemistry
• Department of Mathematical Sciences
• Department of Physics
• Department of Statistics

School of Engineering:

In the school of Engineering, students aspire to become proficient technicians and technologists across various engineering fields. They enroll in National Diploma courses in  Engineering through open distance learning ( ODL). The College of Science Engineering and Technology’s School of Engineering comprises the following departments.

• Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering
• Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
• Department of Electrical and Mining Engineering

School of Computing:

The School of Computing offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. A variety of specialized short-learning programs are also available through the Centre for Software Engineering (CENSE). We have the knowledge and experience to get you to the top, regardless of your educational level. We’ve made a name for ourselves as a pioneer in the field of computing. It consists of the following departments

• Department of Computer Science
• Department of Information Systems
• Department of Short Learning Programmes

UNISA College Of Science Engineering And Technology Application Requirements For 2025

You must upload all the necessary supporting documents as part of the online application process. E-mailed documents will not be accepted. You will have 10 working days from when you apply to upload your supporting documents. The 10 days do not apply after the closing date for applications:

• Copies of all official academic records, including all papers/modules passed, percentages obtained, and the ledger (grading scale). Unisa academic records do not have to be uploaded.
• SAQA certificate of evaluation if your qualification(s) has/have been obtained outside the borders of South Africa. (You may apply without uploading the SAQA certificate). The certificate can be uploaded later or e-mailed to MandD@unisa.ac.za.
• A copy of your ID or valid passport.
• A research outline, CV, and any additional documents as indicated in the admission requirements for the specific qualification.
• If you applied via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), a letter stating that you may be considered for the qualification without meeting the formal admission requirements.
• If you intend to apply for admission to a qualification offered by the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology, please contact the college before submitting your application, as you require a departmental letter of permission from the department to be uploaded as part of your application.
