Also, if you don’t have a student number, then apply for one. To apply for a student number, follow the steps:

1. Apply online for a Unisa student number
2. Pay the application fee of R140.
3. Provide all the necessary information and submit. Remember to add your email address as well as your cell number. You will receive a notification through email or SMS indicating that your application is successful.

How to Track Your Applications For 2026-2027

Tracking your application status is very easy. These are the steps to follow when tracking/checking your application status:

• Open the Unisa application tool on the Unisa corporate website.
• Click on status at the button on the page
• Enter your student number, surname, first name, and your date of birth
• After filling in your details, click on continue to proceed.

Please note that applicants applying for master’s degrees or doctoral degrees can not check their application status.
