The online application period for Unisa admissions for the academic year 2026/2027 will be open for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs from August 21st and close on October 11th, 2026. Application Date for UNISA Honors Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas 2026:

Applications for admission to honors degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2026

Application Date For Unisa Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications 2026:

Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2026 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2026 (some exceptions apply).

Application Date for UNISA Short Learning Programmes 2026:

Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programs are open from 8 January to 15 February 2026

Unisa Application Documents Required To Apply For 2026-2027

Prospective students must have the following supporting documents ready to upload during the application process:

Copy of school qualifications
Copy of official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable)
Certified copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
