The MyUNISA email acts as a centralised communication centre, providing a dedicated forum for students and teachers to exchange information, announcements, and academic-related questions. Users may simply prepare, send, and receive messages using a user-friendly interface, providing a streamlined flow of information that improves the academic experience.

Students get rapid access to crucial course-related information and materials via MyUNISA email. Professors may share course materials, syllabi, reading lists, and assignment rules with ease, establishing an organised and structured learning environment. Students may also ask clarification on assignments and receive timely response, creating an active and involved learning process.

How To Access Myunisa Email

New procedure to access your myLife e-mail account. To access your myLife e-mail account, please follow these steps:

  • Go to the http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/
  • Enter your full e-mail address (eg xxxxxxxx@mylife.unisa.ac.za) and your password for your myLife e-mail account.
  • Select “Sign in”.

What To Do If Your Password Is Not Active On myLife / O365?

It may be necessary to reset your myUnisa password to synchronise it with your myLife mailbox.

  • Login to myUnisa and click on “My Admin”.
  • Click on the “Change Password” link.
  • Complete the form to update your password. Please note that this new password will be active for both your myUnisa and myLife services.

NB: During busy times, the new password may take up to 30 minutes to activate on the myLife service. If you are still having issues after resetting your password, please contact MyLifeHelp@unisa.ac.za for assistance.

How To Activate Myunisa Email Account

Every Unisa student who registers receives a lifetime free myLife e-mail account. You only need to turn it on. Unisa will only contact you via your myLife e-mail address. Although UNISA will occasionally send SMSs and letters, these will not be the principal method of communication.

If you haven’t already, you must claim your myUnisa account before you may activate your Mylife email account.

  • Go to the myUnisa page
  • Click the “Claim Unisa login” button.
  • Follow the instructions exactly to activate your email.
