Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications r Unisa for the 2025 academic year will be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024. Everyone wishing to start a new qualification must apply for admission during this period, including first-time UNISA applicants, UNISA students changing to a new qualification or specialization, applicants who previously applied but were not offered a space, or who accepted an offer but did not register, and students completing a higher certificate or another program who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.

Who Is Eligible For UNISA Undergraduate Programmes 2025-2026

Below are the people who qualify to apply for Unisa undergraduate programs:

  • Anyone starting a new qualification.

Includes first-time UNISA applicants.
Includes current UNISA students changing to a new qualification or specialization.

  • If completing a higher certificate and wishing to continue with further undergraduate studies.
  • If you previously applied, were offered a space, but did not accept the offer or register.
  • Anyone planning to enroll at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the UNISA-TVET agreement.

UNISA Undergraduate Programmes Application Requirements 2025-2026

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:

  • Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
  • Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  • Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Unisa urges all Unisa students to upload all the required documents. Failure to do so may result in a delay in processing your application.
